Terms & Conditions
Welcome to The Porch Society. By booking our services or renting our decor, you (“Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully, as these terms outline responsibilities, policies, and protections for both parties.
1. Reservations & Payment
• Full payment is due at checkout unless otherwise arranged in writing.
• Deposits, where applicable, are non-refundable and secure your event date and décor.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations made 21 days or more before the event may be eligible for a partial refund (minus deposit).
• Cancellations made less than 21 days before the event are non-refundable.
• Weather-related cancellations will be handled at the Company’s discretion.
3. Delivery, Setup & Pickup
• Standard delivery and pickup are included within 20 miles of Downtown Wake Forest, NC.
For locations beyond this radius:
A delivery fee of $2.00 per mile (one way) will apply.
Mileage is calculated from our business location to your venue.
A $25 minimum delivery fee applies to all travels outside of the free 20 mile radius.
• Client is responsible for ensuring the venue is accessible (loading areas, elevators, permissions).
• If delivery or pickup is delayed due to restricted access, additional fees may apply.
4. Client Responsibilities
• Client assumes full responsibility for all décor and rental items (“Decor”) from the time of delivery/setup until pickup/removal.
• Client agrees to keep Decor safe from theft or damage.
• Children, pets, and guests must not misuse Decor.
5. Damage, Loss & Replacement
• If any Decor is lost, stolen, or damaged, Client agrees to pay the full replacement cost as determined by The Porch Society.
• Repairable damage may be billed at the cost of repair, at the Company’s discretion.
• Payment for loss or damage must be made within 5 business days of receiving an invoice.
6. Event Duration & Late Fees
• Rental items are provided for the duration of your event as outlined in your booking.
• Extended rentals must be approved in advance and may incur additional fees.
• Late pickups caused by the Client may result in extra charges.
7. Substitutions
• The Porch Society reserves the right to substitute items of equal style and value if a reserved item becomes unavailable.
8. Photography & Marketing
• The Porch Society may photograph Decor setups at your event and use these images for marketing, portfolio, and social media purposes.
• If you do not wish for images from your event to be used, you must notify us in writing prior to the event.
9. Liability & Indemnification
• The Porch Society is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages related to the use of Decor at your event.
• Client assumes all risks associated with the use and placement of Decor.
• Client agrees to indemnify and hold The Porch Society harmless against any claims arising from their event.
10. Force Majeure
• The Porch Society is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or non-performance due to events beyond our control (including natural disasters, government restrictions, illness, accidents, or supply shortages).
11. Governing Law
• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of North Carolina.
• Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Wake County, North Carolina.
